Police uncertain of cause of fatal motorcycle accident in Rosemead
Accident reconstruction is often a crucial part of determining which driver’s mistake caused the crash. Sadly, when one of the drivers is killed in the accident, determining fault can be particularly challenging because that driver is no longer able to provide his or her account of how the collision occurred. Grieving families looking for answers may have to seek help from experts outside of the police department to arrive at the facts of the crash.
Police investigators in Rosemead admitted that they were uncertain of who caused a recent fatal accident that took the life of a 26-year-old motorcyclist. The crash was still under investigation at the time of a news report, though it’s clear the accident happened at a three-way intersection that was described as “strange” by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy.
The man on the motorcycle was reportedly southbound on Temple City Boulevard when a minivan was turning left onto the same road. The collision caused minor injuries to the minivan driver, and the motorcyclist was declared deceased at the scene.
It was reported that there are no traffic lights at the three-way intersection, but there is a stop sign where the minivan was turning onto Temple City.
