Natalie Weatherford Represents Special Needs Student Against Glendale Elementary School in Sexual Abuse Case
Attorney Natalie Weatherford is representing the family of a special needs student who was sexually abused by a schoolmate, in a lawsuit filed against John Marshall Elementary School. In the article “Lawsuit alleges special needs student sexually assaulted by schoolmate” published by Glendale News-Press, Ms. Weatherford comments on the negligence of the school in supervising the student.
On several occasions, the 7-year-old student was permitted to go to the restroom alone, which was against school policy, and was sexually assaulted by a third-grade male student.
“It’s just a very severe lack of supervision on the school’s part – they should’ve been supervising this student,” Weatherford says. “It could’ve all been prevented if they had just stuck with school policies.”
