John Taylor Talks With KCBS Regarding Abercrombie & Fitch Lawsuit
Partner John Taylor was interviewed in the segment by KCBS, “Ex-Abercrombie Employee Says She Was Terminated For Pregnancy, Age” discussing the lawsuit Taylor & Ring filed against the retail giant Abercrombie & Fitch. Mr. Taylor’s client Stephanie Charles alleges she was illegally terminated due to her age and pregnancy. Ms. Charles was an Abercrombie employee for nine years and moved up the ranks to District Manager, supervising seven of the busiest stores in Southern California. She states while she was employed, she was subjected to hostility in the workplace and intolerable and aggravating conduct. While on maternity leave, Abercrombie relieved her of her duties because they were “consolidating her position,” when they replaced her entirely.
Mr. Taylor said, “They just replaced her with a younger, and what they felt like was a more attractive person.”
The lawsuit seeks economic damages and demands a jury trial.
