Taylor & Ring Files Lawsuit Against Tutor Time for Negligence, Negligent Supervision and Hiring, and Failure to Report Abuse
As reported in ABC7, Los Angeles Daily News , CBS Los Angeles, NBC Los Angeles and Reuters , Taylor & Ring filed a lawsuit against Tutor Time, a school for children as young as infants through kindergarten, and two of its teachers in Agoura Hills, California alleging negligence, negligent supervision and hiring, failure to report abuse, assault and battery, breach of contract, and intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress. Partner Robert Clayton represents four mothers who enrolled their children, all under the age of 3, at Tutor Time between 2013 and 2014.
The mothers claim that two teachers, Rosa Nepomuseno and Jessica Morales, disciplined children by inserting push pins into their legs, calling it “pica pica”.
“What happened at this Tutor Time in Agoura Hills is just shocking,” says Mr. Clayton. “The push pin was pressed through their clothes and into their skin.”
The Tutor Time Corporation took over the Agoura Hills location from a franchisee who was operating the branch at the time of the incidents.
