The Union Democrat Quotes Dave Ring on Recent Sexual Abuse Case in Merced County
In the article, “Former area teacher accused of sex with minor” published in The Union Democrat, Partner Dave Ring explains why the Big Oak Flat-Groveland Unified School District is at fault for allowing its former teacher, Jeremy Monn, to work in another school district, while knowing he was suspected of having sex with a minor at his previous job.
“I think the main culprit is the former school district,” said Mr. Ring. “They clearly knew he was involved in misconduct there. It’s called ‘passing the trash.’”
Mr. Monn was arrested for 20 counts of sexual acts with a minor during the time he taught at Don Pedro High School in 2013. In June 2014, he faced similar charges during the time he worked at Paso Robles High School and was placed on administrative leave.
Big Oak Flat-Groveland School District claims they had no knowledge of Mr. Monn’s misconduct.
